Pune Store Launch + Fashion Week - Nivedita Saboo Couture.

India born designer, Nivedita Saboo is a NIFT (National Institute of Fashion Technology) graduate who launched her eponymous label in 2002 and received a National Award and Bharat Gaurav in 2019 for excellence in the field of fashion designing. 


Her new-age design philosophy that amalgamates heritage craft techniques with futuristic designs combined with a seasoned fashion sense has translated into striking collections that define today’s global men and women. As the Fashion Director for Miss World, Mr World and Mr Supranational for consecutive years, Nivedita has mentored and styled aspiring talent who represent India on several international platforms. 


Over the years, Nivedita has also styled a wide spectrum of muses for runways, red carpets, events, magazine shoots, commercials and several private engagements. From the Lamborghini Family to Akshay Kumar, Rajkumar Rao, Harshwardhan Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez, Lisa Haydon, Vivek Oberoi, Deepika Padukone, Irrfan Khan and many of the leading models in the country have adorned Nivedita Saboo creations. 


Nivedita Saboo's 5000 square feet villa store was launched in time with Pune Fashion Week's 2013 edition, a city event showcasing designers from Pune and around the country. As a strategy, we combined the two into a media experience that would offer an intimate interaction both with the brand and the designer. We invited key journalists to travel to Pune for a weekend. An engaging itinerary was designed which began with an informal unwinding session at a brewery in the afternoon followed by a visit to the PFW venue where guests could view the backstage action and eventually proceed for Nivedita Saboo's runway showcase. Next day, a meet-up was arranged at the newly-opened Nivedita Saboo Couture store where designer Nivedita Saboo personally greeted the journalists, toured them around different sections of the store and spoke about the collections on display. This relationship-building exercise was seminal in garnering press coverage for the brand.
